I am relatively new to the area and would like to hear some positive comments about the local churches. My family and I are "shopping" right now, so any information about programs & fellowship would be appreciated.
Hello! Just joined this forum. A good church to try out is Southeast Baptist Tabernacle. They have some good youth group programs like TNT (Tuesday Night Teens) in the summer, Patch Club (in the summer), AWANA during the school year for ages Kindergarten through 8th grade (I think it's thru 8th). They also have a nursing home ministry and other things going on that I know I'm forgetting. The Pastor's Name is John Ray. He lives right next door to the church. The church is located on Shelbyville Road between Southport Road and Five Points Road. You can see Bunker Hill Elementary School from the church. Sunday School starts at 9:45 am and Sunday Service starts at 10:50 am. Wednesday night service starts at 7:00pm as well as AWANA. Anyway, would love to have you and your family join us anytime. I assume you have children since you said your "family", so what ages are your children? Take Care.
