“One Million Wishes” kicks off June 9

Community Pop Tab Collection to benefit the Ronald McDonald House

Last year, the Franklin Township Community rallied to collect more than 2 million pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of John and Erin Longpre. The original goal was one million tabs in two months, which was easily surpassed thanks to the amazing efforts and generous hearts of this community. Originally, the “One Million Wishes” was planned as a one time happening, but there were so many requests to make this an annual event, that plans are now underway for the second “One Million Wishes” campaign.

Civic League partners with Boy Scout Troop 462

The Franklin Township Civic League is proud to partner with Boy Scout Troop 462 to increase efforts to build our membership and spread the message about the great works the League is doing in the Franklin Township Community. One of our Board Members, Cookie Kight, had been talking with Scoutmaster Tim Schubach about the Civic League and our mission, and Tim was happy to help.  On March 1, members of Troop 462 began canvassing neighborhoods with Civic League membership forms.
Joining the League is only $33 per year. As many of you know, with your paid membership you receive a free subscription to the Franklin Township Informer newspaper and support the things we coordinate and fund including the Mary Meier Family Assistance Fund, the Pass It Down Coat Drive for Kids, the annual Flu Shot Clinic, all township clean ups, community forums and various other programs, including an annual Willa Mae Wolfe Community Service Scholarship, as well as donations and support to many community service and youth organizations.
